Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by Velane Atelier, Lda. (“Velane”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The website is a showroom

The site presents our collections and the pieces available in our boutiques. Prices are shown in euros and include VAT. They may change, and a piece shown here may sell out in a boutique before you visit; we keep your reservation for the time we confirm to you.

Reservations and appointments

Reserving a piece or booking a fitting is free and does not oblige you to buy. We confirm every request by email or phone. If you cannot come, please let us know so we can offer the slot to someone else. We may cancel a reservation that is not collected within the time stated in our confirmation.

Purchases, alterations and repairs

Purchases made in our boutiques follow the conditions given at the till and on your receipt, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Alterations are made to your measurements and cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Repairs under our ten-year promise are described on the client care page.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it, scrape it at scale or send unlawful content through its forms.

Content and trademarks

The site’s design, text, images, logos and code belong to Velane or its licensors. Nothing here gives you a licence to use them beyond viewing the site.

Links

Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Liability

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes go to the courts of Lisbon, without affecting any mandatory protection you have as a consumer where you live.
